Easiest Way to Get Your Cardio In!

I don't know about you but as an Obstacle Course Racing athlete, one of my least favorite things to do is CARDIO!!!

I'd rather train obstacles and strength all day, but unfortunately cardio plays a huge role when it comes to finishing a race without death looming over you once you cross that finish line.

The question then becomes what do you do to make cardio less of a chore and keep you motivated to do it?

There are many ways around this, except when NJ, or any other Northern area, decides that it wants to be its own Arctic Enema and keep you from being able to run outdoors.

One of my favorite pieces of cardio equipment is the
Technogym SkillRun, because of the Bootcamp option!

This allows me to replicate the physiological aspects that I would experience on the course into my indoor workouts.
I can seamlessly switch from running or walking (from -3% decline to 25% incline), to a weighted Sled Push, or wind sprints with a Parachute...
All without leaving the treadmills' platform.

Which means I can also practice my recovery after these heart rate spikes that are bound to happen when jumping over multiple walls, dragging or pushing a heavy object uphill through the mud, and of course after lugging around a tree trunk uphill before having to take the 1-1/4 mile Death March straight to the top of Mount Killington. (See imagine to the right)

Imagine taking the boredom out of a 10+ mile long run by being able to seamlessly switch Energy systems by adding in any of the 4 Skill Athletic Pillars
1) Stamina- Combination of cardiovascular and muscle endurance.
2) Speed- ability to achieve high velocity. A contributor of both applied force (strength) and force applied at a maximal velocity (power).
3) Skill- ability to perform a specific skill effectively towards an end goal.
4) Power- the speed in which force is applied at an accelerated rate.

Wouldn't you agree that being able to switch up the energy systems you are training by simply pressing a button would be beneficial in your training?

Take a look at the video attach to this post to see what I mean.

PS- Gym or Box owners if you are interested in adding 1 of the 4 Skill Athletic Line pieces to your facility message me at [email protected] or on one of my social media links below.
