Fit into a Bathing Suit from 10+ Years Ago!

Uncategorized Oct 21, 2019

Could you squeeze into a bathing suit from 10 or more years ago?...

Could you compete, right now, in a sport you played 10 or more years ago?...

Every year around October my college has their Homecoming, as all colleges do, and I get excited because I get to go back and relive my glories days as a Springboard diver.

Which means myself and a bunch of other 30, 40, 50, and some 60 year old former swimmers and divers have to dust off their old bathing suits...

See if they can squeeze their current body into a bathing suit they wore in their late Teen's and early 20's...

And then compete against their College Age counterparts.

Now some of the Alumni have stayed in shape and go back to compare themselves to the 18, 19, 20, and 21 year olds... <cough> this might be where I fall into <cough>

But a majority of the Alumni have let life's responsibilities come into play, have somewhat let themselves go, but are still in good enough shape to show up and hope you don't die swimming a lap in the pool.

In other words...

You show up kinda ready to compete...

Hope the little bit of preparation you did will allow you to finish in one piece...

And you hop in the event hoping you don't embarrass yourself in the process.

Sound familiar?

Of course it does, we've all done it at some point.

The problem with that preparation is it leads to disappointment and frustration every single time!

There is a reason I get excited about showing up each year, and no it's not because I get to put on a speedo...

Not because of being surround by the in shape, young, attractive college athletes...

Nor is it because I can still compete my hardest dives that I did in college...

It's because each year I get to test out and refine my Fit for Adventure Guide that I've been developing over the past several years.

This guide allows me to follow 3 Steps that can be broken down into...

1) Dreaming of the Adventure

2) Plan the Adventure

3) Implement the Adventure

Following these 3 Steps and the lessons that go along with them has allowed me to
Live the Adventurous Lifestyle that I want and help others learn how to live the Adventurous Lifestyle they want.

On top of developing what I'm realizing is a mythical legend type status at Montclair State University. ;)

I say that because every year when I'm there a few people, including current swim team members, come up to me and say...

"You're that guy that comes every year and does all the crazy hard dives and beats the current divers on the team."

In all honesty, I am not there every year, I've missed quite a few because of life responsibilities that I mentioned up above.

Which makes it funny that I'm the guy that ALWAYS shows up...

Is still able to fit in my old college speedo...

Can compete against the young-ins and hold my own...

And am continually improving a system that is apparently slowly turning my actions into legend. LOL

If you could still fit into a 10 year old bathing suit would you?

If you could have the health and fitness to hop in any adventure/event you wanted to would you?

If you answered YES to either of those questions...

Then I have a challenge/adventure for you!

Click on the link and hop on a 15 minutes Fit for Adventure Strategy Call with me and let's find out why you're not there.
